There are conditions attached to interloaning oral history interviews.

Two interviews only at any one time can be interloaned. The maximum time frame for each interloan is one month.
The interviews and any accompanying material must remain in the library at all times and library equipment must be used, not your own laptop if the recordings are on CD, for example.

You will need to collect and return the oral history material to the librarian each day. The interview recording and any accompanying material cannot be copied or photocopied.

If you wish to use any quotes from the recording or the accompanying written abstract in a thesis, magazine, journal or any public forum, you will need to get permission as public use conditions are attached to the material. Please contact us for further information about public use if you need to.

To interloan items, you need to go to the Public Library and advise them that you wish to interloan oral history interviews from the Alexander Turnbull library. You need to give the name of the interviewee and that it is part of the Great Barrier Island oral history project. There may be a cost from the public library to interloan material.
